The following public notice announcing the public hearing for Claremont's 2009 proposed municipal budget is currently posted on the City's Website and was published in today's Eagle Times.
However this notice states that the public hearing will be held on Wednesday November 25th at 6:30 PM when November 25th is actually on a Tuesday & the Council meeting is scheduled to be held on that Tuesday.
Are City Officials intentionally trying to have residents come to the public hearing a day late?

According to the Associated Press, City Councilors & Select Board Members from Claremont, Grantham, Newport & Sunapee are requesting all Sullivan County communities to withhold tax payments to the county until their demands are met which include hiring an administrator, creating a plan to solve the Sullivan County Nursing Home's financial problems and changing the process for creating and passing the county budget.
Regarding Claremont, since it takes a majority vote of the City Council to make a policy decision and this issue was never discussed in public session and doesn't qualify as a topic that can be held in non-public session when was the secret meeting held?
